Johnny Depp and Amber Heard still fuming after divorce

On Behalf of | Jan 4, 2017 | Divorce

Many Ohio residents love to read anything they can about their favorite entertainment or athletic celebrities. Whether it is about marriage or divorce, it all seems to be important and makes us feel like we actually know these people we have come to regard in such high esteem. The divorce between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been especially contentious and has their fans wondering what will be the final outcome.

Information included in a Request for Order documents filed by Heard has been obtained by several media channels and reveals that Depp has apparently not begun to pay the $6.8 million ordered by the court. He was to pay installment amounts over the course of a year once the divorce became final and is said to have missed the first two payments. It is also claimed that he also has not made good on his part of the couple’s agreement pertaining to the division of their other assets.

Heard claims Depp found out that she was planning to donate the money to several charities and that he paid them directly, believing that would satisfy the judicial order. It is being reported that Depp claims she violated confidentiality requirements when she filmed PSAs speaking toward domestic abuse, as well as admitting she was a victim of abuse in a magazine submission. However, his name was never specifically mentioned in relation to either situation.

The legalities of divorce are rarely cut and dried. Both parties usually have obligations to meet with regard to the terms of their agreement. Many times the details included in the settlement need the particular skills of an Ohio attorney experienced in family law.
