Dissolution

Ohio Uncontested Dissolution and Family Law Attorney

For 30 years, Treneff Cozza Law, LLC has played a positive role in the lives of Franklin and Delaware County area clients pursuing uncontested divorce or marital dissolution. We have done that by providing unparalleled personal attention to your questions and needs and experienced counsel to settle your case.

Dissolution is an agreed termination of a marriage by both parties, requiring that both spouses work together, through legal representatives, to reach an agreement on all issues. All issues must be satisfactorily resolved before the dissolution may be filed with the court. The dissolution makes no reference as to why a marriage is breaking up, and no allegations of fault are included in any paperwork.

Uncontested dissolution covers three major categories of issues: allocation of parental rights and responsibilities (child custody), division of marital property and spousal support. You can benefit from our family law firm’s proven legal leadership throughout your divorce.

Personal Attention, Experienced Counsel

Among the many factors we’ll help you face during the dissolution of marriage process include:

The separation agreement is an enforceable contract between spouses addressing child custody, property division and spousal support, among other issues. Documents to be filed include a petition, an asset and liability affidavit, and a waiver and acknowledgment if one party is not represented by counsel. If there are children in the marriage, a shared parenting plan may also be included, along with health insurance and custody affidavits. A decree of dissolution is granted at your final hearing.
