Columbus Attorney Handling Family Mediation And Arbitration

When facing family law issues, there are many ways in which they can be handled. Contested divorces often progress to in-court litigation if both parties cannot agree on any of the issues and continue to argue over everything. However, this may not be the best avenue of resolution for every situation.

Professional Mediation And Arbitration Services

When you are considering dealing with your legal matters outside of court, it is beneficial to enlist a firm that provides tailored mediation and arbitration services. Our attorneys at Treneff Cozza Law, LLC in Columbus, Ohio, are trained in mediation and arbitration, and can act as neutrals in the mediation and arbitration processes. We can also provide information on the collaborative law process.

With more than 30 years of experience, we also provide clients with representation that is tailored to meet their individual circumstances. Whether we pursue an end to the case through traditional litigation or use methods of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) such as mediation, arbitration or collaborative law, our firm can help.

Let us help you through your family law matters with our experienced alternative dispute resolution services. Contact Treneff Cozza Law, LLC today at 614-891-4230.

Types Of Alternative Dispute Resolution

  • Family mediation: In the mediation process, a trained mediator manages the situation, going between parties to work through the issues. This neutral third party, such as a mediator at our firm, collects information from both sides and is able to negotiate with each party through give-and-take until a mutually agreed-upon resolution is reached. Mediation helps minimize animosity between the parties and relieve any additional strain on them and their children.
  • The arbitration process: Similar to mediation, family law and divorce arbitration is handled by a neutral third party. In arbitration, however, the arbitrator acts in a capacity similar to that of a judge in a trial, listening to each side present its case and making a decision at the end. Any decisions an arbitrator, whether one at our firm or another, makes are binding and cannot be appealed.
  • Collaborative law: When providing collaborative law services, our firm works closely with clients to minimize animosity and promote cooperation in reaching decisions on all divorce and family law matters they may be facing.
