Divorce finalized in Bristol Palin relationship

On Behalf of | Aug 16, 2018 | Divorce

Many Ohio residents have been through the painful journey of divorce. No matter the reason for the separation, it can be somewhat difficult to essentially start a different life as a newly-single person. Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, finds herself unattached again after her divorce from U.S. Marine, Dakota Meyer.

The two were married in 2016 and had two daughters during the course of their relationship. Meyer filed for divorce near the beginning of the year, asserting that the difference in their personalities prevented their marriage from moving forward. He publicly made the comment that she was unhappy being with him.

As a condition of their divorce, Meyer gets the $500,000, 4,670 square foot, five-bedroom, five-bath house they bought a year ago. Palin was not homeless for long, however, as she bought a slightly less-expensive and smaller house just one day after she signed her previous deed over to Meyer. Along with her new house, she has a new job and will be the latest cast member on the reality show, Teen Mom OG. She says she has no plans to enter into a new relationship.

It would seem, by the accounts in a report on the divorce, that the two are taking this decision in stride and are simply moving on with their lives. A few people are able to process the dissolution of their marriage this way but to many more, a divorce is one of the hardest processes they will ever have to experience. The toll this experience takes on their emotions can leave them confused and uncertain about the process they must go through to end their marriage. An Ohio divorce attorney can ensure a client has everything needed by the court, that assets and debts are divided fairly and that the entire process goes as smoothly as possible.
