Craig P. Treneff
Craig P. Treneff is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Capital University Law School, where he was elected to Law Review. Prior to entering private practice in 1983, he was judicial law clerk to Justice William B. Brown of the Ohio Supreme Court and served as chief legislative assistant to the Chairman of the Finance-Appropriations Committee of the Ohio House of Representatives.
He was one of the first 50 lawyers in Ohio to be certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a family relations specialist. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, President of the AAML Ohio Chapter, and a member of the family law committees of the Columbus, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Treneff is also a regular contributor to and Editorial Board member of the Domestic Relations Journal of Ohio and is a contributor to the Baldwin's Ohio Domestic Relations Law treatise ("Marital and Separate Property"). He was selected for Ohio Super Lawyers 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, and Who's Who in American Law. He was also selected as one of the top 50 Columbus lawyers for 2010 by Ohio Super Lawyers (January 2010 Edition of "Columbus Monthly").
Mr. Treneff is actively involved in the community and is serving as a Member and Vice Chair of the Westerville, Ohio , City Council. He has previously served as President of the Board of Trustees of Directions for Youth and Families, Chairman of the Capital Campaign Planning Committee of Directions for Youth and Families, Member and Chairman of the Westerville Planning Commission, and Member of the Westerville Board of Zoning Appeals. He also has been a member of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and President of the Central Ohio Municipal Alliance.
